When someone leaves the company

What to do when a person leaves your partner company or the contact person at a customer leaves, with a checklist for logins, recipients and numbers.

People change, but logins often stay. That's a security risk, and messages go nowhere. This page shows both sides: when someone leaves your partner company, and when the contact person at a customer leaves.

Someone leaves your partner company

You only invite people to your partner account who work for you, and you're responsible for their actions. If someone leaves, you remove their access on their last working day.

  1. Remove the person from your partner account. Their access ends immediately.
  2. If they were the only person with access, invite a successor beforehand.
  3. Check whether the person had their own logins to customer accounts, for example as an invited employee when reselling, and remove them there too.
  4. Change passwords and keys the person knew, such as API keys or headers for webhooks you created for customers.
  5. If needed, add a new billing address for credit notes and a new contact address in the partner area.

Permissions that referral customers have granted you as a partner continue to apply to your company. The access log at the customer shows which person accessed the account.

The contact person at a customer leaves

The email address an account is registered with can't be changed in the dashboard. If the account runs on the personal address of someone who is leaving, secure the access beforehand:

SituationWhat you do
The person's mailbox stays with the companySet a new password via the reset link on the sign-in page and set up two-factor authentication again on a company device
The mailbox is deletedClarify with support beforehand how access will be handed over. To do this, write to support@bhomy.ai from a company address
New accountscreate them straight away with a role address, such as phone@company.com, not with a personal one

Checklist in the customer's account

Many settings depend on people. If someone leaves, check with the customer:
