Connecting easybell with bhomy
Connect an easybell SIP trunk or the easybell cloud phone system to your agent via FQDN.
easybell sends calls to a SIP address via an FQDN connection. This way, calls to your easybell number reach your agent directly. How you proceed depends on whether you use a SIP trunk or the cloud phone system.
Which route fits?
| You use … | Route |
|---|---|
| an easybell SIP trunk | FQDN connection on the trunk |
| the easybell cloud phone system | FQDN extension |
| a line without FQDN | Call forwarding to a bhomy number in the easybell customer portal |
Setting it up in bhomy
Create the number under Connect SIP number, see SIP numbers, and note down the Destination address (origination).
SIP trunk via FQDN
- For the SIP trunk, the FQDN connection is an add-on feature. Request it from easybell support and give your customer number. It may be subject to a charge.
- In the easybell customer portal, choose the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) as the trunk's authentication.
- Enter the Destination address from bhomy, only the hostname without
sip:. - Set the number format to international with a plus sign.
- Leave SRTP switched off and save.
Cloud phone system via FQDN extension
- In the easybell customer portal, open the cloud phone system and create a new extension with an FQDN connection under the extensions.
- Set the phone number and extension under which your agent should be reachable.
- Enter the Destination address from bhomy, only the hostname without
sip:, and save. - Optional: allow forwarding in the extension's settings if your agent is to connect callers to internal extensions.
Outbound calls
| Field in bhomy | Value |
|---|---|
| Termination address | the SIP server address from your easybell credentials |
| Username and Password | your trunk's SIP credentials from the easybell customer portal |
Then confirm the number in bhomy with Confirm for outbound calls.
Testing
- Call your easybell number. Your agent answers, and the status in bhomy changes to Active.
- Check in the Call History whether the caller's number arrives with a plus sign.
Common problems
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Calls don't arrive | Is the FQDN connection enabled? Is the destination address in the portal without sip: and without typos? |
| The number arrives without a plus sign | Set the number format to international with a plus sign |
| No audio | SRTP must be switched off |
