Greeting Messages

Configure greetings that win callers in the first 5 seconds — with brand name, value point, and a clear next question.

The greeting message is the first thing your caller hears when your AI agent answers the phone. A good greeting sets the tone for the entire conversation.

Default Greeting

If you don't configure a custom greeting, your agent will use a professional default: "Thank you for calling. How can I help you today?"

Custom Greeting

To set a custom greeting, go to your agent's settings and edit the "Greeting Message" field. Write the exact text you want your agent to say when it picks up the phone.

Examples:

  • "Thank you for calling Acme Corp. My name is Alex. How can I assist you today?"
  • "Good day! You've reached the Dr. Smith's office booking line. I'd be happy to help you schedule an appointment."
  • "Welcome to TechSupport. I'm your AI assistant. Please describe your issue and I'll do my best to help."

Business Hours Greeting

You can set different greetings for business hours vs. after-hours:

  • Business hours: "Thank you for calling Acme Corp. How can I help?"
  • After hours: "Thank you for calling Acme Corp. Our office is currently closed. I can take a message or help with common questions."

Dynamic Greetings

If caller information is available (e.g., from CRM integration), you can personalize greetings:

  • "Hello {{caller_name}}, thank you for calling back. How can I help you today?"
